new flywheel required

Hi new member first posting i have had my x type nearly 3 years now it's a 2.2 DS 2006 model with the mondeo engine and it requires a new flywheel,is this quite common as i have seen other postings mentioning flywheels,the car has done 62000mls .

Hi Kevin, and welcome to the club.

 

I have not heard about this problem on this forum, but I am sure if someone has experienced this they will share their experience,

 

The bits to replace it do not seem to be that expensive, but the labour charges might be.
