Hi Guys

After updating my maps on my satnav (Thanks Trevor) it has resulted in very poor radio reception on FM dropping the signal at regular intervals.

HAs anyone else experienced this and is it possible to rollback to my previous version?

Steve,

Why not just put the original disc back in, doesn't the sat nav just read off the disc?

Have got DAB so can't comment on FM reception, Up my way the reception seems to is poor for TV, DAB (in the house) and mobiles.

I still cannot understand how the Sat Nav could interfere with radio reception though .

Out of curiosity, is the reception still bad if you take the sat nav disc out ?

Trevor

Hi Trevor

Thanks for the prompt response, I did try the original disk but I think it may have something to do with the software upgrade that was on your disk.

Even with no disk the reception is still poor, I am back home tomorrow evening so I will do some fault finding over the weekend. I will make sure I haven't disturbed any leads when changing the disk etc.

Cheers

Steve

Steve,

Doesn't the Sat Nav read directly off the disc ? I don't think it loads up on to the cars computer hard drive as such, otherwise it would work without the disc in it, and putting you old disc back in it should revert to normal.

And the fact the reception is poor without the disc points to the possibility it is some other cause than the sat nav disc .

ATB,

Trevor
