Hi all just bought my first Jag X Type Estate in blue 2007. I travel to east Europe at least once a year, I've notice my sat nat doesn't cover, is it best to up date or keep using my old tom tom. I've seen some updates on eBay and them seem cheep, will they effect my sat nav. Your ideas very welcomed. Andrew65

Hi Andrew and welcome to the Club.

SatNav Updates sold me an update for around £30 and it works OK. I think it is the last version produced that is suitable for the X Type and S Type with touchscreen. [2012/2013].  It installed quite easily. I just put the disc in and it read it OK.

Hi Geordie,

Thank you for the welcome, I have added a couple of more photos, as you know the British weather stopped me taking a few extra. I will add more tomorrow should the weather.

Thanks again

Andrew

I think you are incorrect.  In fact, you are wrong.  And I think Andrew put-on his post 6 years ago.

Can I make the strong suggestion that you state a name and the model of the Jaguar car you have etc

These are requirements for membership.  Please regard this as a warning.

HI

Unfortunately theres been no updates for jaguar, S-type, X-type and XJ, which all used the same system since 2012

since 2012 theres been a massive amount of road changes, but if you google it you can download load it and burn it yourself

cheapest option would be to update your tomtom, I went down the Jagdroid route, got my touchscreen converted to android 9 and you can do anything you want as on a new android phone, google maps, front and rear camera, dab radio, google assistant, superb if its a keeper, have a look here http://www.jagdroid.org/

cheers

Joe
