Hello,

I am thinking about buying a 1965 Jaguar MK2 3.8 Saloon, however i am unsure about how much they are asking as it has been laid up for several years and therefore not in the best condition.

Could anyone help me?

Thanks

Hi Simon, and Welcome to the Club.

A 1965 Mk2 Saloon will not be cheap as there is some demand, and as it has been laid up for some time I guess that the restoration would also be expensive.

Wheeler Dealers restored a similar car a couple of years ago which you could get on You Tube.  Watching that will give you some idea of what problems you might encounter.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,

Peter.

Like all cars it will be worth what you are willing to pay for it and what you believe you can get in return once in prime condition. The Mk.2 was an Icon in the Jaguar world and in my opinion still is up there with the best in style and elegance

Hi I am thinking of buying a mk 2 jaguar and am not sure of the average dual consumption as I can't get a straight answer lol, I have a 3 litre V8 stag at the moment and will be selling that and wondered if it would similar to that as I get about 26/28 on a long run thank you Martin Allinson

Ps I intend to tour in it for holiday etc

Hi I’m in need of a Jaguar mk2 red/ burgundy  for sat 9TH OCTOBER

its a big ask I need some one who has this car and would like to earn some money driving it for the day I sadly lost my father last year to cancer he unfortunately got caught up with in all the covid and we didn’t have our good bye like we should have we need picking up from parr’s  and son funeral directors Beckenham myself my mum and sister with my dads ashes and kindly taken to biggin hill air field where we will be doing his scattering of ashes from a spitfire as you use to fly up if he had got better he so wanted to buy this car and to let him take his last drive in this car on his memorial seems so fitting.
we do not expect this for free if you think you may be able to help please please email. Thank you kindly in advance
