Hi everyone, this is my first jag so I thought I'd go big. Picking it up next Tuesday and an soooooooo excited. Also, 1st time I've ever joined a car club but I thought I'd do it now and be part of a bigger family of like minded people. Any tips on how I can best use the site??

Welcome to the club, Mike.

That is a beautiful car that you will drive.   ---  and enjoy.

The club is a friendly club with lots of experiences to share, and there are plenty of topics to enjoy reading and in which I hope you participate.  The Jaguar experience is unique, and I was told when I bought my first Jaguar that I would never drive another make of car.   Very true.

Regards.

Easy, Trevor. Just say you need a house in 2 acres with a double garage for the Rag top, and accommodation above for the gardener  and housekeeper.

It usually works.

Peter,

the other solution is to say you really like the s type 3.0 litre  and there are some going for under £5k.

She would say " Really" and want me to go and get one tomorrow. That's why she hated the XJ Supersport so much, she said it wasn't a proper Jag like the S Type

I will show her some pics on Autotrader and tell you what she says

ATB,

Trevor

I love the phrase 'Like minded people' The phrase was used in my younger days when in The Round Table  with one of its moto's being Like minded men coming together for fellowship and ........

It was very true, I met some good men whilst in the Table and have many fond memories, wish I was still young enough to be part of it.

Its a young mans organisation and you are expected to move on when reaching the age of 40, I was fortunate in that I was asked by a number of Chairmen to be the President which kept me in a little longer not having to move on to the 41 club ha ha
