Tried to remove battery today but the clamp threds go right through the floor and as a result are very corroded! making it impossible to loosen:-(

If its possible soak wherever you can over the threads with penetrating Oil and leave for as long as possible. You may have to repeat the process before you are able to unscrew.

Mines the same as dads xf. Thin 8 or 10mm that always snap. Managed to get mine out with the help of wd40 and put copper grease on thread before I put it back
