My dad has a 2000 plate 4.0 L supercharged xkr

We have heard on the Internet about changing the pulleys for more power

Does anyone know the power gains ?

Cost ?

Realibility ?

Is extra cooling required ?

Thanks Luke

I know nothing about superchargers other than they make cars go faster. The experts will possibly be able to help.

Hi Luke, I have not looked into the supercharger pulleys yet, not had my XKR to look into really however, I did upgrade the pulleys on my SLK32 AMG and the gain was incredibly good although I also done a few other tweaks that may have pushed it up a little. The 32 was 347bhp standard but measured on a rolling road after my tweaks I was pushing 400. I did not feel it necessary to upgrade the cooling system.

I would be interested if you find out a little more and now that you have mentioned it you have given me food for thought so I will be looking myself out of curiosity. If I find any info then I will pass it on.

I've only had the car a few weeks Luke and in that time we have had a mixture of good and bad weather so haven't had the greatest of opportunities to get the best out of it with work and one thing or another. Its very comfortable and plenty of power albeit I'm upgrading from a AMG which also equally as powerful after I finished playing with it.  I'll let you know if I source any information.

Luke; just found this whilst browsing and the power gains appear quite good

That's great thank you :) I have the 4 litre s type but that xkr my dad has is a different Level

I think the xkr is a up and coming classic good investment

I agree and there are so many models coming out in won't be that long. My brother recently bought the new F Type S £60,000 hell of a car though

I think the f type will only go up in value , they really captured the e type rear end which engine does the s have
