Hi

I have recently bought a 2002 X-type and I am looking to do some upgrades.  My car doesn't have the navigation system and this is something I would like to install. Was wondering how big a job this will be to do? For example, are the cables for the navigation unit already run behind the current radio unit, is there much wiring involved or is it mainly a case of plugging looms together, and does the system fit straight in easily?  The other upgrade I am keen on doing is installing the alpine subwoofer below the parcel shelf which is fitted on some models.  Again just wondered what this is like.  I am yet to have a proper look but access seems simple, so I will ask the same again.  Is it a straight forward fit and are the cables already run to where I need them or would I have to run them back through the car.  Also would I need to purchase an amp seperately or does this come with the speakers?

Many thanks for your time

Welcome to the club, jack.

I am afraid I have little expertise in matters so technical, but there are quite a few members very knowledgeable in these matters who I am sure will give assistance.

Regards

Peter.
