in the morning I go out to start the beastie, She fires first time as always but the screen display reads traction control, stability control, abs warning and a yellow small strip light on the lefthand side of the speedo. after a few miles driving I restart the engine and the system check is all clear. I figured this as the battery not holding charge over night and so replaced the battery but to no avail. I checked the alternater output, also fine.

Any fellow jag heads point me in the right direction.?

Hi Hugh,

I would have recommended you to do what you've already done.

I am not familiar with the layout of the XJ, but I am guessing that a faulty sensor is sending information to the computer as it is all to do with the functions that are close together.

Regards

Peter.

What you have listed will only come up the same on a fault code reader front which again you can reset however this will not resolve your problem. I'm at a loss on that one buddy it's obviously going to take someone who have experienced the same scenario.
