Just had the wheels chrome powder coated and don't trust locking wheel nuts.

Does anybody know of an after market alarm that will sound if the car is jacked up.

Thanks

god youve got me going now cliff i didnt know that. i used to be a biker when i was younger& you can buy a movement alarm for them, but the wind ect can set them off. modern alarms will have that aspect in them i think !!!!!! charlie

Like you I don't like locking wheel nuts/bolts having experienced a problem where one sheared whilst undoing it on a Merc I owned. Took me days and a lot of drill bits to eventually make an hole large enough to get a decent size screw extractor in there.

There are many movement alarms out there and most will have an adjustment so that it will not go off in heavy winds etc, just when car is jacked up.

Hi ..Cliff perhaps you could do the same as a freind of mine he fitted two lock nuts to each wheel

they are different so that you need two key nuts to remove the wheel---Just a thought ???
