Just to say I’m amongst the living

That I’m not amongst the dead

Though I’m getting more forgetful,

and mixed up inside my head.

I’ve got used to my arthritis,

To my Pacemaker I’m resigned,

I can cope now with my Cancer,

But I don’t’ half miss my mind!

Sometimes I can’t’ remember

When standing by the stair,

Am I going up for something?

Or just come down from there?

While staring at the fridge

My head is full of doubt

Have I just put something in?

Or come to take it out?

Now I can’t’  remember

Did I write to you before?

If I have, then just forget this,

I don’t’ want to be a bore.

And now beside the Post-Box

And is my face really red!

Instead of posting you this letter

I’VE OPENED THE !Removed! THING INSTEAD!!!!!!!!

Happy Easter..!

You have made me think, Philip.

The Human body is a bit like a modern car.  Many of the moving bits can be assisted in their functions by the use of oils and spares being fitted to parts that are wearing out.

But if the thinking parts start to go, you can't replace them   ---   that is the bit that is different.

Peter.
