Hi, first timer so please bear with me. I have had various Jags since 1976. For the past 8 years, a 2001 s type 3.0. Totally reliable but now the drivers seat memory's do not respond although advice display functions, also the control on the side of the seat only allows approx one second of movement and the stops. This means having to use the control many times to adjust the seat. Further when removing or inserting the ignition key the seat does not move as usual.

Your guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks D4 BBC

Hi there

We both have the same car but I can't say I have came across advice display functions for the electric seat?

What memory did it have previously ?

Keith.

Thanks for your interest. When pressing buttons one or two on the memory recall switch panel, on the drivers door panel, the dash display confirms memory position one or two displayed e.g "Memory 1recalled". Mine still displays the recall but does not affect any change.

O I see now even though our cars are the same model engine and year of manufacture yours has a higher spec.

Mine has not got the panel on the door sorry.

By the way do you know what mpg you are getting ?

From my 3 litre, over the past 8 years always average 29/30 on a run, 19/23 around town. Consistently find supermarket fuel less mpg.

I believe Shell to be better all round (despite 20p a litre off at times!)

Can you advise if I am allowed to re list my query under all Jaguar models?

Hi Douglas,

You can raise a query in more or less any of the forums covered by the club.  A general query usually interest most club members.
