Hi Robert

I have the estate and they are just at the top seat just behind, although the seat themselves do not lift up and forward as I had with previous estates But there were to Jags If you have the saloon I am not sure if they fold down at all, you might have to remove the rear seats.

I hope this may help in a little way

Hi Robert,

I had an x type 2.5AWD and found that folding rear seats were an option as mine didn't have them either. The x type has the largest boot of the  then Jaguar range and is quite bigger than the s type, surprisingly.

You can check the complete specification of your car by googling VinDecoderz which is a rather good site.

Regards,

Peter.

I know that my back seat folds down because I have done it before but I can't remember how to do it. I can see what look like two releases, one on each side at the top of the seat but they doesn't actually release the seat. So I can't figure out how to actually push the seats down, even by a little. I've looked at the manual and it doesn't make it any clearer. Any help on this would be really appreciated because it's not intuitive.

Welcome to the club, Lynne.

I think that the two releases at the top of the seatsshould let the seats go down after the two releases inside the boot at either side have been pulled out.  I did have an x type 10 years ago and they were similar to my s type.

Let me know if it works.

Regards,

Peter.
