Hi Alan,

I think you should back to the dealer who fitted the EGR valve and tell him to fix it properly.

I sometimes have problems with the EGR valves [two on the S type] and  I use one of two options  to clean it up.  The first is a good blast down the A38, and the second is a canister of Wynns Diesel EGR clean for around £9.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,

Peter.

Well Peter had the jaguar in a place called injection development they came back to me the diesel pump got destroyed from the inside and metal shavings all thru the pipes and into fuel tank and destroyed the injectors all in costing £1600 for repairs

That was serious, Alan.

I wonder what the cause of the pump failure was?

My S type had its engine replaced at 21k under warranty by Jaguar, and I was told it was the Oil pump failure.

Peter.
