I now have remotely operated folding mirrors, ie. they extend when I unlock the car and retract when I double-press the lock button.

 

It is a really simple installation which took me less than 30 minutes and left me with an option which I think was sadly lacking in the S Type's original spec.

 

The chap who makes the modules that do the job doesn't want his e-mail address on the forums for fear of a spam inundation but if anybody wants to do this mod just PM me and I'll send his e-mail address.

 

No - I'm not getting commission, I just want to let people know that it can be done :)

Hi, will it work on a x type 2006 and how much does it cost?

Hi Andy,

Welcome to the JoC :)

No it won't work on an X-Type.

However, there is another, EVEN SIMPLER method employed by the X-Typers to do the same thing and it is likely to cost no more than a couple of pounds.
