I think I have read on here that the dipped beam headlights on an X-Types are notorious for being poor, and mine fit the bill perfectly.  On unlit country roads, they are as useless and I end up just aiming to the left of any oncoming car and hope for the best!

Does anybody here have any suggestions to replacement bulbs  that I can do myself or would you recommend the HID units, and how easy are these to replace?  If you recommend the HID units, do you have any ideas on where I might get some, and how much I might expect to pay?

Thanks for any help,

Mac

Has anybody else heard the rumour that I heard today that the new MoT will be an automatic fail for retro fit HIDs?

The guy in the accessory shop suggested that I just opt for the replacement bulbs - does anybody have experience of them and are they any good, or is it worth the extra expense and go for HIDs?

Thanks for your help so far,

Mac
