hi i have a s type 2.5 0n a 2004 plate,could someone please tell me how many litres of Oil go back in to the auto gearbox,main dealer tells me 10 litres and others are telling me 6 litres many thanks for any help,neil.

Hi Neil,

 

They told me 10 litres too, and when I complained that I had 4 litres left, they said that they had too!

 

The auto gearbox on the X Type 2.5 auto 2001 -- 2006 takes 5.8 litres.

mine is not a x type peter iys a s type  2.5 v6 2004 plate

Sorry Neil, I must have misread!

 

But the AJ25 [Ford Durance]  engine and the same ZF gearbox is used in both the S Type and the X type.
