Why am I unable to get a sat nav update, the latest available is to year 2012.

The last ones made to suit the XJ and S type are the 2012/13.

You will be able to get an update by looking at the various site that can be found on the internet.  A lot depends on whether your sat nav has a disc or has to be downloaded by a Jaguar main dealer.
