I'm interested to know what sort of MPG people are getting from their 3.0 v6 petrol s types. I am currently getting around 22 MPG but  i do tend to want to get home from work quick so that isn't helping. What MPG could  i expect if i try drive more sensibly?

I've been getting c27mpg, but I have a manual and have been playing a bit with the cruise control. I averaged 32mpg on a run, and this could've been c40mpg at a steady 80 if the instant fuel economy is accurate.

29mpg around town, 37mpg on motorway, 32mpg mixed. Had a really good run on M6 the other day averaging 38mpg! but then hit traffic jam and watched the average plummet. The cat is born to high speed cruising and hates sitting around idling.

I have an X204 3.0 auto and get 18mpg on a 4 mile trip to work stop start all the way. Also achieved 34mpg on a long run at around 80mph. The later 6 speed auto (ZF) cars (2002 onwards) will be better than the 5 speed auto Ford 'box early models.

Filled mine up to the rim today... How much do people usually spend on filling up ?

Noticed it gives me "357" miles range... anyone else get similar ?

I put 55 quid in = full tank.
