Go over to tyreforums .co.uk and the Vredestein  are favoured by most.

Years ago I was an  Independant Driving Instructor ,  I tried Vredestien on my training car , but they didnt perform well in the wet . May be they are better now ??

Vredestein were second after Goodyear for performance in the wet, David, so they must have got better.  Goodyear Eagle came top in a recent survey, which I had a look at as I was about to buy two for the front prior to MOT.  They are much quieter than the Pirellis I had on.  I will be putting two on the rear wheels in due course.
