Dus,

Is the actual cigar lighter or the power socket in the center console?

Both fuses are in the rear fuse box next to the spare wheel: -

Cigar Lighter - F56 15A

Power Socket - F58 20A

Hi Soljd19

It's the cigarette lighter /cigar lighter in the ashtray in the center console that's stopped working

If yours is a 2001, as mine is, the handbook suggests it's a 20A in the passenger compartment fuse box, number 32.

It would be a shame not to treat yourself to the owners manual, as below, there is a special place for it to fit in the passenger glove box:

Just as a thought Dus, but if you find the fuse has blown, I'd be wondering what sort of accessory could draw 15 or 20 amps, and whether it would be something I'd like to connect to my car again?

Just a thought.

Hi Russ thank alot bud that help me out so much

It was the fuse thank God lol

Hi Raistlin I'm not sure if it was the tyre inflator I was using or weather it was an old fuse that's been in the car since it was made but all fixed now YAY

OK Dus. Pleased it is sorted. I'm a bit concerned that a tyre inflator should draw more than 10 amps so if it happens again, might be worth thinking about the pump you are using?

If I use it again and it does the same I will complain to Citroën when I returned the car we bought off you with the leak / swimming pool in the front foot well (well being the right flippin word) I permanently borrowed the tyre inflator and it's blowing fuses in my car arrrgggghhhhh lol

They are. Not so much the cars themselves, though.

Low battery voltage can cause strange behaviour. Have you tried charging the battery?

Ho John,

You should not mention that name in the presence of a S Type. These Cats have claws and teeth that will hurt you if offended. Good advice from Knut Are - check and charge the battery you may be surprised how many lights will go out.

I was getting various warning messages on my XK, which is not my daily drive. I bought CTEK Battery Conditioner, and plug it in if I am not using the car for a few days. I have never had any warning messages since then!
