restricted performance light

Hi gents justhada amberlight with the message restricted performance, any ideas no faultcodes showing on odm monitor so at a loss

Is yours a diesel Thomas? If so I'd be initially thinking about DPF needing to be blasted out.

Suggest go out, buy some bottles of Pedigree, Take the car onto the nearest dual carriageway and cruise  at 55 mph for half an hour, enjoy the drive, get home and say "that was great" and have a beer or three.

 

But not every day!

I love this car, no light this morning fixed its self again, quick run to make sure purring like a big cat should. Many thanks for the info.

I don't know your driving style Thomas but it is well worth giving the diesel regular runs in excess of 55 mph for a while to keep the dreaded DPF fail at bay :)

 

Pleased to hear that the light has gone out though.
