Hi all,

I wonder if you could direct me to a reliable, budget-friendly trades person, who could get my lady back in shape?

Thank you

Hi Tamas,

Either  some wet and dry and a lot of elbow grease, or a good body shop is needed.

It could be worth having a look at the Jaguar Owners Lounge Forum on the Club side and go through the list of recommended independent garages and you may find one close to you.

Regards,

Peter.

Thanks Peter,

I have contacted a few from there (text, e-mail, voice message) then I realized, its Bank Holiday Weekend. :)

I just really want to get her back in shape.

Patience.

Regards,

Tamas

That is on the list of things to change in the first instance Andy. :)

One thing I never played with is the safety of my family.

Whenever I buy a used car, I take it to the dealership, get it serviced and checked, and fix everything that needed fixing.

On this occasion though I might get Simon and Wayne to have a look. They might can get it done below dealership price, but with equally high standard or even beyond.

Quite right, Tamas.

When I buy a car I always go to a main dealers. I had company cars for 29 years so I have not had many second hand ones.

But what I do is first make sure there is a.up to date MOT, and also a warranty.  I then draw up a list of foibles I have found and take it back to the dealer for a health check, as it were.

Having had company cars, the local main dealers all know me well!
