Welcome to the 2016 Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet

This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - with the main venue being Madiera Drive on the Brighton seafront as usual.

It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event! This year I have been working on gaining much more industry support than previously, more prizes, freebies, discounts, even specialists on siote to chat to.. hopefully ensuring that everyone has a fantastic Jaguar day to remember!

The initial meeting point will be Pease Pottage Services, with an indoor area set aside for us and 20% discount on anything from Costa (remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event to get your discount) to help get your day started.

The Welcome Packs will be handed out at this point, and the main features of the day covered.

There will then be a convoy down to the Brighton seafront, creating a huge Jaguar statement with up to 100 cars, all setting up camp in one huge parking block in Madiera Drive.

There will be a fixed price breakfast laid on for attendees on arrival in Brighton, at a cost of £4.99 for the recommended (two of everything :-)) breakfast, plus drinks at individual prices or £2.60 for unlimited drinks. We are booked in the Harvester in Madiera Drive - remember to say you are with the JaguarForums.com event when ordering.

The only other cost for the day is the parking which is likely to be £3.20 for one hour, £5.20 for 2 hours, £10.40 for 4 hours or £15.60 for 11 hours (Brighton Council are reviewing the rates in April though icon_frown.gif).

CaptainHam has suggested setting up & using the pay by phone parking app on your phone prior to the day (saves fishing around in pockets for change, or in this case, notes)

Our itinerary for the day is:

Welcome to the 2016 Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet

This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - with the main venue being Madiera Drive on the Brighton seafront as usual.

It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event! This year I have been working on gaining much more industry support than previously, more prizes, freebies, discounts, even specialists on site to chat to.. hopefully ensuring that everyone has a fantastic Jaguar day to remember!

07:45 Sharp
Meet at Pease Pottage Services for Welcome Packs and a quick rundown of the day. remember we have an indoor area set saside for us and to get your 20% discount on Costa products by saying you are with the JaguarForums.com event!

08:20 Depart in convoy from Pease Pottage Services for Madiera Drive, Brighton

09:00-10:00 We are booked into the Madiera Harvester for breakfast - they recommend the two of everything for £4.99 plus drinks - remember to state you are with the JaguarForums.com event as they are setting an area aside for us.

10:00 -12:30 General socialising, car inspections, & meet the industry specialists we have onsite.

12:30 Group signing of event banner and photo shoots for the forums, Twitter and Facebook.

12:45 Main prize draw, drawn by Tony from Harwoods Jaguar

12:55 Secondary draw of some specialist items, drawn by the RevsUK team.

13:00 Rowan & Tony will announce the winner of 'Best Turned Out Jaguar'

Plus, if you want to make a weekend of it, we have teamed up with HolidayInn Express in Crawley and have a fixed discounted rate of £54 a night for attendees, plus guaranteed availability of rooms for us :-) please see their details below, or follow this link HolidayInn Express Crawley. Just remember to quote that you are with the 'JaguarForums.com' event to get guaranteed availability and the fixed discounted rate of £54 a night.

Additionally we have also arranged the following discount codes for event attendees:

Wax On Wax Off is offering event attendees a huge 20% off their entire product range! Just log on to Wo Wo online, have a browse through their great range and use the checkout code of 'JAG20' for any purchases.

We have discounted event accomodation at Holiday Inn Express Crawley (literally 6 min drive from our start point) just quote 'JaguarForum.com event' to get a fixed rate of £54 per room/night and to give you a great night before, or after the event.

Prestige Car Care is offering all attendees a 10% discount on their entire product range which includes some superb car cleaning products - to take advantage of this great offer go to Featured Products - Prestige Car Care Shop and use the checkout code 'jags' to get your event attendee discount!

And Scratchshield.co.uk can help you keep your car scratch free for our event with a huge 25% discount using the checkout code ' JAGBRI16'

If you would like to sign up for this event please just pop a post on the thread inc how many will likely be coming, and car details, and I will add you in, noting you can join just the main event, or the event and convoy. Hi Steve. All booked in at the Holiday express.see you on the 29 th.the parking situation can i pay on the day,i am not up to speed on phone aps etc.

Posted

Hi Skelly,

Just bring some £1 and £2 coins with you - don't worry the meters should be working fine on Madiera Drive..

I will also be using cash on the day rather than the phone app :-)

I did check with the Brighton & Hove Parking Team, and the Highway Events Team and there should be 8 meters operating on the day.

Tomorrow will be the event summary day, with all the latest stats and figures for you as always, but meanwhile I just wanted to let you know I am still busy following up with potential partners/sponsors and will be until a week or so before the day.

We have some leads that were quite promising that have become 'the fish that got away' :-( and some others that I didn't think we would have a chance with that seem to be progressing and might yet bear fruit, so please keep an eye on this space as we go :-)

We have 8 weeks to go, and I am on the hunt for 24 more Jaguars to complete our target of 100 Jaguars spanning 50 years of production so if you know anyone who has a Jag, and hasn't already signed up please, please encourage them to.. we have a great day planned, with lots of freebies, discounts, specialists onsite, fixed price breakfast by the sea, photo shoots, best turned out Jag and so so much more

Many, many thanks go to our sponsors, supporters, and Jaguar owners who have signed up to attend this event!

I really appreciate everyones support, making our event possible.

Anyone interested in getting involved with this event as a possible sponsor please drop me an email at JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk, or tweet me @JFBrightonMeets, or just pop a post up here

Finally, and most importantly anyone interested in attending this event please, please sign yourselves up, whilst you can, for what will be a fantastic day out for you, your family, and your Jaguar!

We have a great day planned - samples, discounts and info in your Welcome Packs on the day, prize draw for some great 'must-have' Jaguar items, five companies on site to meet you, and so much more to come ... so go on, sign up to this - the FREE Jaguar only event 'The Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet'

You may well, quite reasonably, be saying what do I get if I come to this free Jaguar event.. well, if you sign up and attend you will get:

A great Jaguar day out

A chance to meet and chat with Harwoods Jaguar, Ultimo GT, REVSUK, The Automatic Gearbox Centre, and even the We Love Brighton Team.

Discounted Costa drinks at our starting venue, with free goodie bags containing event information, freebies, samples etc

To participate in a convoy of up to 100 Jaguars all heading for Madiera Drive in Brighton

A fixed price cooked breakfast laid on by The Harvester for the event

A chance to look over up to 100 Jaguars spanning 50 years from a 1966 E-Type right through to the latest showroom F-Pace brought along by Harwoods Jaguar

The opportunity to catch up in the flesh with everyone you know online, exchange thoughts, ideas, fixes

Not one but two free prize draws for some must-have goodies, inc Workshop manuals, vouchers, cleaning kits and more!!

A chance at the title of 'Best Turned Out Jag 2016' which is being judged by Harwoods Jaguar and Rowan Lill

This is a great Jaguar social event, with plenty of cars to check over, people to meet and learn from, & freebies up for grabs in the free prize draw.

You will be joining over 100 other Jaguar fans, from all backgrounds.. some will be collectors, keeping their cars as new, others (like me) will be using their Jaguars on a daily basis working hard just to maintain their Jaguars.

The event is free to sign up for, and free to attend.. the only costs being your Costa purchases (noting you have a 20% discount), your fixed price breakfast, your parking and anything else you choose to buy on the day :-)

The event receives no financial funding, and depends completely on it's sponsors for all the freebies, samples, prizes, and expertise on-site, for which we are extremely grateful.

The more attendees, supporters and sponsors we can get onboard for our event the better the event becomes for all of us. This is truly an event by us, for us so why not sign up for this years event? You never know, once you have attended this year you may well want to make a firm booking for next years event :-)

It's even easy to sign up - post on one of our forum threads, our facebook page www.facebook.com/JaguarForumsUK, our Twitter feed @JFBrightonMeets #MayJagMeet, or even by email JaguarForumsUK@solidlinux.co.uk. All you need to do is let us know what model and year of Jaguar you will be in, and how many people will be in the car and we will do the rest :-) So go on.. a great event, a great location, suitable for families as well as Petrolheads.. what do you have to lose?

Welcome to the 2016 Annual Brighton Convoy & Meet

This event will be taking place on 29th May 2016 - with the main venue being Madiera Drive on the Brighton seafront as usual.

It is a Jaguar EXCLUSIVE event! This year I have been working on gaining much more industry support than previously, more prizes, freebies, discounts, even specialists on site to chat to.. hopefully ensuring that everyone has a fantastic Jaguar day to remember!

The only other cost for the day is the parking which is set to be £3.20 for one hour, £6.00 for 2 hours, £11.00 for 4 hours or £16.00 for 11 hours.

CaptainHam has suggested setting up & using the pay by phone parking app on your phone prior to the day (saves fishing around in pockets for change, or in this case, notes)

Our itinerary for the day is:

Hi Andy,

Thankyou for your interest in our event :-)

This years event has drawn in people from all over the UK, we even have a party coming across from the Netherlands specifically to attend..  so yes, you will be made very welcome on the day :-)

Because of the distances some people are travelling to attend, we have made arrangements with Holiday Inn Express for guaranteed availability of discounted rooms. The rooms are at a fixed rate of £54 per night, and can be booked here: Holiday Inn Express Crawley . Remember to say that you are with the JaguarForums event to guarantee your discounted rate.

Please check back up the thread and you will see we have discount codes for you with a number of suppliers to help you keep your Jaguars costs down - please take advantage of them :-) and meanwhile, I will add yourself and your wife to the list of attendees, and very much look forward to meeting you on the day.
