S-Type tyres

Hi there everyone, I am new to this forum.

 

I recently purchased an  S-Type Jaguar 2006 model, petril 3.00 litre. It is fitted with 235/40ZR18 95W tyres and I was wondering if these are the correct size for this car as I have a tyre noise problem.?

Hi Neil and welcome to the club.

 

They are the wrong size.  Jaguar recommend 245/40R18 97Y.

 

There are various good makes of tyre, and although Jaguar recommend Pirelli I found them a bit noisy.  Goodyear and Vredestein appear to be the quietest, although  Tyres are a personal choice, and some members recommend other makes.
