Got the car back today, New vacuum pump and new servo fitted cost met by both the RAC WARRANTY £1000 plus the difference paid by the DEALER £484. Cannot praise the dealer, Culshaw and Son, of Burnley, highly enough for their integrity in dealing with this problem. The brakes are now operating perfectly only light pressure required to bring the car to a stop. Next stop ATS for new discs and pads £438, thought I would treat the old girl. REGARDS all, till next time.
