The last couple of days I've had a squeaking noise (sounds like rubber squeaking) coming from the front, which I think I've narrowed down to be coming from the offside.

Don't get it all the time and not always when going over bumps.

I tend to hear it more at slower speeds.

I've had a look around the front wheels and "wishbones" (?) and all of the rubbers look OK, so wondering what else it could be?

I'm taking it to the garage tomorrow to have rear tie-rods replaced, so will get them to check it.

Thanks in advance :)

I had the rear tie-rods replaced and the mechanic said the squeak as coming from a bush at the front and was squeaky due to the damp weather and that it would last all through the wet winter months,

I suggested silicon spray, but he said that the bush was sealed and the silicon wouldn't get into it to stop the noise, so I would have to live with it.

Any else any thoughts please ??

Thanks in advance :)

If the silicon spray can't get in then surely water from the wet weather wouldn't either.  I'd try the silicon spray anyway, what have you got to lose.

That makes sense.

I'll have to get a spray. Any recommendations?

I think there was something about silicon sprays on the site recently, but I can't think where.  I sometimes uses WD40 when I suspect a bit of damp is around.

Hi I'm with Peter on this one because for onething I think WD40 would penetrate more than

the silicon spray + its water repellent so Its up to you.???
