Good morning all,

I hope this is the right area to ask, if not can the Mods move to the correct location

Just a quick inquiry, has the forum been updated recently, it was offline on earlier in the week, as I'm having trouble with my tapatalk logon,

this is the only site I can't read anything on, the other forums (fora?) I visit are fine on my phone.

I tried deleting then re-installing on tapatalk but no luck, everything is fine when using my laptop.

Thanks

more info: tapatalk comes back with "Network error, please try again later. (get_config)

Also having issues accessing the forums via Tapatalk.

Didn't know there were plans afoot to change the site until just now.

Was there an announcement anywhere?

Hi CBers,

I didn't know that there was going to be a change.

I have emailed Steve asking some minor questions, and when I get a reply I will mention Tapatalk.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Peter

Not moaning, but I have noticed there are no viewed counters, no signature statements, and it seems more difficult to zoom in on attached photos.

i mostly use an iPad to access the forum. It maybe I'm not using the iPad correctly?

Hi Steve,

There are changes I have not yet been able to grasp.  I use a macbookPro and find it OK, and have not explored everything  -- yet!

I don't think there should be difficulties with an iPad,

I will try to find out more

Regards,
 Peter.

Thanks Peter

appreciate you're reply. Apologies I'm sure you're getting hundreds of queries about this. It will all get sorted in the end 👍

I hope so, Steve.

I have always said that if it isn't broken, don't fit it  ---  but times change and we must change with them.

My toolkit used to be a stillson number 8 and a lump hammer!

These have been fixed.

Tapatalk is a real pain in the backside. Seems tapatalk is giving the forum issues again, such a nightmare piece of software that is so slowly supported.

I will look at tapatalk a bit later to see where why it's throwing issues.

Me Joe.  And sometimes three times.

In the interests of keeping such  repetitions to the intended post, I delete the unintended.

Hi Steve,

It seems to have cleared that problem.  However, it also seems that the Moderators can no longer delete posts, which was rather useful for the odd spammers we have had.

Peter.

hi guys is this still the case as I know i repaired something about 5pm last night

Hi Steve,

I've just PM'd you on a separate note, but others may also have the same issue.

I'm trying to turn off the email notification of new posts on threads I follow, but it's been disabled by the Administrator:

Any chance of allowing users to turn this off please, as I'm getting loads of emails each day from the forums.

Thanks.

i have a question also, i am trying to upload a couple of jpeg images from a memory stick (not had a problem before) the file is quite small 260 KBS or near enough, it just tells me upload failed. any ideas anyone? i dont know if the high-faluted route to get them on the stick has anything to do with it

photo taken on phone - sent image to my e-mail - copied to stick!

i will also try tonight from my iPAD to see if that works

cheers

Hi Joe,

Steve has given you the answer, but the new site appears to be unable for the Mods to delete.  Steve will sort t out though!

Peter.
