headlight bulb replacement

I intend to do a headlight upgrade to xenon. I know that the bumper needs to be removed. On a preliminary inspection I noted all the bolts and screws that need to be unscrewed. Once that is done how easy does the bumper come off and how?  Any input would be appreciated.

I put Osram Nightbreaker bulbs in my 2001 without removing the bumper. You just unscrew the plastic covers at the back of the lights to access the bulbs. These and crystal clear lenses thanks to the 3M kit work well ;)

If it is then it won't be cheap, have you seen the cost of a pair of 2nd hand xenons.
