Welcome to the club, Robin.

The Jaguar experience is unique,  in my opinion.  As you say, the ride is rather good, and my S Type is the best car I have driven in the sixty years I have been on the road.

Regards

Peter.

Had my XF for just over a week now.

Like (love): engine, gearbox, interior style, exterior looks, handling, ride, ambience, lighting

Dislike: sat-nav (atrocious), delay/sluggishness on all steering wheel controls (especially cruise/speed limiter control), passenger wiper obscuring bottom left of windscreen, Tomtom gets no satellite signal when dash-mounted

I've had my 3 litre Portfolio XF S, about two months now. Had a couple of jags in the past but have been a BMW fan for a number of years. 7 series 3 litre 5 series 3 litre. Z4 3 litre and my last one a 3 series GT (not too keen on this one)

I am so happy with my 3 litre Portfolio XF S which beats the BMW 5 series for comfort (which I never thought I would say). I do consider it is a little lacking on acceleration but the engine is very smooth and the seats extremely comfortable. Yes, best car I have had for quite a while.

Only quibble is the seat heating controls via the touch screen - who thought of that?
