Im pretty sure this will have been asked at some point before so apologies if im going over old ground.

So with all trim levels, engines and fuel types I wondered what mpg people were getting in their Jaguars

Mine  around town averages 18-22 as long as driven conservatively,

if driven a little more unsociably I can get it into single figures quite easily after all these cars want  to stretch their legs once in a while

On a run it is generally around the 27-33 mark if the onboard computer is to be believed. I have to admit i am enjoying fuel under £1 a liter at the moment so even though it is fractions of

pence worth of savings I don't feel too bad at the single digits mpg lol

That's about right for a 3.0 petrol, maybe a bit more on a run.

My diesel is averaging around 38mpg in general tooling around and up around 48/50+ on a run.

Worst I've seen was 22mpg but I was racing something at the time!!

Same as mine 3.0 V6 according to the computer. I set trip A for me and B for the wife and I'm Mr Lightfoot lol.

I travel about 25k per year in my S but most is on A roads and my MPG is around 24-25, but that's running on lpg which is about 48ppl so money wise that's about the same as 45mpg!

For the last 1500 miles I've gotten  23.6mpg and that consists of largely motorway driving. Having worked out what I've spent on petrol in that time period I must say that's a fairly accurate reading from the trip computer.

The manual is a fair bit more efficient then, c26mpg overall for the 5K I've had her for, but closer to 29mpg on a recent 450 mile round trip to Devon. At steady speeds on a motorway it can be 30+, but I generally prefer speed over efficiency, especially in the Jag

Interesting what Steve says about mileage on the R, I did have a real hankering for one of these, but think I would find this consumption off putting. So I think I'll stick to my 3.0 Sport and wait until I can afford an XKR with sequential shifting. This may take awhile and I'm keeping my S-Type in any case

My 2.7lt Diesel Auto, 55 plate (pre addition of carbon scrubber tech), S-Type Sport does around 31 to 33 mpg on average on my mix A-road and dual carriageway, 30 mile round trip, daily commute.  Motorway runs at a steady speed tend to see that rise to around 35 mpg.
