After advice or  tips, want to colour code the chrome detail on the grille and bumpers. Question.. is it better to buy new primed parts or alternatively  go down the rub down chrome, etch prime, spray route.  Anybody done this mod.

The problem with painted plastic bumpers is the colour changes more rapid with age than paint on metal and I doubt you would get a colour match just over painting the chrome trims and end up respraying the whole bumper! Looks nice as it now with the R type lower grille and just needs a chrome number plate plinth.

Yes it looks great but I must say that color and that car looks great  both ways all the best

Just priced new primed parts, price prohibitive I think £113 for the bumper inserts and £800 for front grille so if this gets done it will be the spraying route I think, and it will be full bumper respray for colour match. Looking for good sprayer Manchester area, any ideas guys

Cheers for the info, the price's  I was quoted were from the David Manners group, have to admit they did sound a bit steep. You don't happen to have the link to the eBay site it would be appreciated. Regards Ian
