Hi All

I was wondering if music on my phone would play through the audio system via bluetooth? I downloaded three apps yesterday that allows me to listen to over 300 tracks from the 70s, 80s & 90s, so here is the start of my miserable and embarrassing lack of knowledge regarding tech :wallbash: so firstly a separate question, am I right in thinking that The music is not actually on my phone, but 'Out there' somewhere? I would like to copy the music to disc / USB stick.

Now this is where I fall flat on my face (again) I do not get, how the setup works, but my logic tells me, if the callers voice can be heard through the car speakers then why not the music? I hope that makes sense.

My car doesn't have Jaguar voice, hence the parrot system, and my phone is paired with the parrot system, which works when receiving / making calls.

I tried yesterday to play music via these apps, but got nothing out of the car speakers, is it possible? Is there a setting on the parrot system that needs tweaking? Does my phone need connecting via the wiring in the central armrest? All I have is the earphone jack & the micro connector for charging etc on my phone (Samsung Android) just wanted to mention the music will not play through the phone speaker, but  only the earphones, I don't know if that's important or not

Apologies, if this topic has already been discussed

Thanks for any advice

Regards

Steve

I sort of get it? Is that gadget just for radio though? Or is it about transmitting Audio signal? No matter what type? I have mentioned before, modern technology has left me way behind, so apologies for struggling to understand.  :wheelchair:  +  :wallbash: =  Hard work!

Probably Jim, but I don't know how to tune (manually) the radio? You will need the patience of a saint I'm afraid, give me a lump hammer and cold chisel and I'm okay :ranting:

Sound of the engine for me Peter! Don't know why I'm bothering with Music, when I have it for free

I have a similar gadget in my car, plugs into the lighter socket and tunes to the radio via a spare frequency then connects to my Samsung Galaxy s5 via bluetooth.

as I have around 1000 songs on my phone i select play random in the phone menu and play the songs.

Theres a button on the top to skip tracks too.

it also has phone buttons too and the quality of call sounds is excellent, being through all the speakers!!

Cost me about £7 iirc.

Hi guys

Thanks for all suggestions, but I have sorted it:yahoo:last year I bought a replacement remote control for the parrot because I wasn't convinced the one already there was in the best of Nick, anyway paired the new one, looked at user manual, selected bluetooth audio, Bingo! Music from my phone. The remote controls the volume, okay not the loudest, but you wouldn't be able to hear any external noise.

Just got to get music on my phone rather than chewing up data allowance and annoying buffering

Thanks again Chaps

Regards

Steve
