Why does it say in my handbook that the lighter socket should not be used to power anything other than the cigar lighter?

I would like to use a small Black and Decker vacuum cleaner or should I buy a plug which fits the power socket in the arm rest?

Hi Howard

I'm sure the cigar lighter socket would be OK to run it but the power socket would be the best and better connection

Making it a lot safer.
