Hi all,

I have a 2015 Jaguar XJL 3.0 Diesel which I believe should have two turbo's? On looking at a number of images of the engine bay I notoce all appear to have two turbo's however looking at my own car I appear to only have the one turbo? I figure this out as I only have one box on the RHS of the engine as you stand in front looking to the rear of the car. I am assuming the box is the air intake filter. All other images show two with twin air input pipes going to the engine. How can I tell if I  do indeed have a twin turbo engine? Or am I being a total numpty here, but my engine does not look anything like those in the many images of engines I have looked at so far.

The car goes well enough for it's size/weight etc. but it does baffle why my engine bay is so different from those I see on line.

This is very interesting, Jim,

I bought my son a great low miler Saab 9-3 last year, it's the TTid4 engine which has the same twin turbo set up, blistering performance  with 65 to the gallon on a run, an amazing car.

Apologies for the interjection but I had not heard of similar technology on a Jag.

Andy, Lovley motor and happy motoring. Good to have a member up the road, I'm not far from Welshpool

Cheers

Hi Andrew,

There are quite a few members in your area.  One of the members in Wales tried to organise a meet last year but there was not enough interest.

Maybe this year?

Regards,

Peter.

This would be a great idea, Peter,

In this neck of the woods, we are on the doorstep of Snowdonia national park giving access to some of the UK's most spectacular scenery and great touring roads etc. It's not something I would be able to organise at present though as got a house move in the near future and an op in hospital coming up.

Wouldnt mind attending a meet for a bacon butty up in the mountains tho.

Cheers

I worked in Wales for some years and lived in North Wales for a fair time, Andrew.

I know Snowdonia quite well - fantastic mountains and Lakes.

Hope the op goes well  -- as well as the house move.

Regards,

Peter.
