The cars 9 years old this October and the paint/exterior bodywork is not as i would like it to be, hence this post. I am after your advice as to what would be an acceptable price for full car respray, i am not after a quick rub down and blowover for the old girl, i intend to keep this vehicle so would prefer a proper job screens out, trim off etc. Regards

hi

you can pay anything from £500 to £2500 for a paint job, depending on where you take it

I think you would get a decent job for £1000 to £1500, get a few prices and look at some of the jobs they have done there

most places will have some sort of portfolio of cars and pictures, they have done and usually there proud of what they have done

cheers

now this is a good subject! how far DO you go on doing a paint job? you can strip the car down to its shell? but i think thats not what you what ! or do the labour intense work yourself as to how much you what the car stripped? or if you have a big pot of money, let them do exactly what you write down on paper as to what your requirements are regarding to removing parts, prep, paint, finish, otherwise they will do it there way. but think of this when the cars in there hands and your not there  what do they actual do? i would have my doubts. you must give this issue a lot of thought and as joe says see if they have a good portfolio, also ask if the car was in having the work done that you would call in at any time to make sure that work is done to your requirements.

Been quoted £1800, Screens out, all trim removed two pack finish.  The company based in Ashton, Manchester are used by a lot of prestige car showrooms and when i visited they were working on a black ferrari and a red porsche and the finish was superb, so all in all it looks pretty good.
