Hi everyone,

I have fairly recently purchased an 03 S-TYPE 4.2 SE (and naturally loving it..). After careful consideration I decided on the pre face lift model as I preferred the look of the rear, however I much prefer the dials you get on the facelift models (speedo, temp etc.) And was wondering if anyone knew whether I can have the facelift ones fitted on my model?

Thanks in advance for any help!

John.

Hi John, and welcome to the club.

I saw somewhere that the electrics are somewhat different on the post facelift models.

In any case, I think a retro fit would be rather complicated, if not impossible.

Regards,

Peter.

John,

I'm always up for a retro-fit but, to be honest... good luck with that. A step too far I think, even for me.

Thanks for the welcome and the info.

Looks like I won't be doing that then...

I noticed a couple of you have said 'retro fit' what does that mean?

Retro-fit means to install a function, possibly on the options list, which wasn't on your own car to begin with. The idea is to make it as OEM as possible.

Ooops. Three Letter Acronyms abound

Original Equipment Manufacturer.

Used in the context above that a properly installed retro-fit would be indisitinguishable from a car which had it fitted from the factory.
