Hi Toni.

Is the column actually locked? Do you hear the locking pin retracting when you insert the ignition key?

If you hear the locking pin retract, then all that is probably required is a reset using the IDS / SDD diagnostics.

Otherwise it's the column release module (steering lock) itself which will need replacing. Cost a fortune for a new one or possibly could get on from a breakers yard but it would need setting up with the SDD / IDS.

As far as I'm aware, you need to link security modules to the car using the SDD / IDS.

Having given this some more thought, and looked up the DTC, it's more likely that the link between the immobilizer and the key is corrupted.

Have you got a second key? Have you tried it?

I thought it cud be the transponder but not really sure don't really want to keep throwing money at it as everything I've bought hasn't worked so far not having much luck with it
