Hi, can anyone help re above. Mine has ceased to be. No mileage, no trip, no nothing!!!

How do I access part on car? Can it be removed? Does it retain the info on it and if so can I transfer this info to another unit.

Be grateful of any help and advice.

Just a wee bump for this.👆 Can't seem to find anyone who knows and don't really fancy paying dealer prices on a 16 year old car!! 😔

Have you checked the fuse ? Should be fuse F4 ( 5A mini ) in the  Passenger compartment fuse box . One possibility there has been a short somewhere .
