I got into my car earlier this evening at Birmingham International Railway Station car park, switched on the 'phone button and was informed that a phone was not fitted on this car.  Now I have used the phone for 3 years [judiciously when static or when a passenger has been there to use it] without any problems.

While thinking how to solve the issue, I remembered something I read a few years ago.  Some one had the same problem and what he did was switch off the ignition when he got home, go inside, have a can of beer, then go back out, switch on the ignition and lo and behold, it worked again!

I have not lost any of my memory, but it can still be done without the beer!

This may be useful to someone!

Regards

Peter.

On a hot day, Budweiser, but otherwise Doombar!

But only late in the day when the car will no longer be used!
