Climate control valve.

I have a 1999 3.0 V6.

At the moment my Air Con is not working as it should. I have cold air from the drivers side dash vents and warm air from the passengers side.

I have been told that it is the Climate Control valve in the dashboard that is faulty.

I have the chance to buy a used unit which is the control panel from the dashboard, with all buttons on etc.

I have two questions.

Dose this panel and the works attached to it contain the suspect Climate Control Valve?

How easy or difficult is it to remove and replace this panel? DIY or professional job?

Thanks for advice and assistance, I think I am finally getting there. Everything else on the car works as it should now, apart from this.

The valve is nothing to do with the control panel, it is on the heater it self, which is behind the dashboard. I am sure some people on here have replaced it so hopefully they will tell you how.

I have seen this website but they only work on post facelift models, although they do mention pre face lift.

They suggest a series of electrical tests which I am not equiped for.

I should have said that the DCCV in the engine bay has been replaced. The mechanic who replaced it said that the problem is now in the Climate Control Valve or possibly module, he said both. Can I assume that this is not part of the workings behind the front panel?

If the dccv has been replaced and it's still not working correctly then it's either the dccv if still faulty or it's taken out the circuit board out in the cabin.

may be a blend motor or ac bypass motor, . or something similar thats attached to the heater box
