Poor radio reception

Good morning

Just joined today as have recently bought an X Type 2.0D estate. I've got one or two issues one of which is smoke on acceleration, I've read the forum on hear which was very useful and will be doing some diagnostics. The radio has a problem in that it will only work on one radio station have spoken to a couple of ICE shops and they say its mostly like a failure of the receiver inside the unit. Has anyone had a similar issue?
