Richardw Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 After replacing headlamp Bulb, some 5 miles and 20 minutesthe later the fuel gauge went dead, the parking brake indicated a fault and Oil pressure light came on, I feel the lamp change must have been a coincidence as I didn't disturb anything else , trying to decipher the electrical shematic isn't easy when trying to find a common denominator. Has anybody experienced similar problems, maybe I looking for a fuse, or module fault. Any advice appreciated Quote

Leo Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 I'm thinking the same as Joe: A rash of miscellaneous electrical issues usually means a low battery! Quote

Richardw Posted January 19, 2017 Author Report Posted January 19, 2017 Re. S Type warning lights Joe and Leo Thanks for advice, I have charged the battery, disconnected and the battery negative terminal presumably to reset logic, Magic the faults have disappeared! It is deceptive as aways starts first time even when standing for a month or so, thanks again much appreciated. Richard Quote
Leo Posted January 20, 2017 Report Posted January 20, 2017 Thanks Richard. I keep my XK battery topped up on a CTEK battery conditioner. The XK is not used every day, so if it has not been used for three or four days I put it on the CTEK and leave it charging until it is next used. I have done this for two years now. I am sure that it isn't necessary to do it so much, but it does no harm, and I love the peace of mind which comes from knowing that the battery is always fully charged. Quote
