I know this will sound horrific to most of you, but I'm getting pressured to buy a bike rack for use with my X-Type estate. I don't like the look or the risk of damaging the paintwork.

Any recommendations for a suitable model, that will not risk damaging the paint. All (sensible, and funny) answers appreciated.

I use a halfords three cycle carrier on mine, one part sits on the chrome trim on the bumper the other on the rear glass. 

It covers the lights bit i have a towbar so use a light board.
