Hi. For fear of sounding stupid, can anybody explain what the adaptive dynamics are? Is it standard on all XF models (some adverts mention it as if it's an optional extra) and is it those few options found near the gear selector? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm just a little curious!!

Cheers,

Mac

Hi Mac

Adaptive Dynamics is essentially a feature which is like a stability programme and allows the car to predict pitch, roll and lean in order to adapt the suspension, braking, transmission and engine to enhance the drive/ride.

It should provide you with a perfect handling car which you drive with gusto but come out of the bend in one piece. There is also the option to switch it off if desired.

Thanks Trevor. Two things drop out of that for me:

1. Does that mean it is a standard fit

2. Why would you want to turn it off (ie does it increase the driving experience)?

Thanks for the reply.
