Evenin' All. On Tuesday I will be collecting a 2007 XK with 15000 miles on it, which comes with no history whatsoever. It was first registered in UK in 2015, and I think it was exported new to Japan. Does anybody know whether Jaguar HQ keeps a centralised service database of their cars worldwide, or (more likely) that they will only be able to tell me to where it was exported, and any other info they have will relate only to any work in the dealer network in the UK?

Hi Dennis

Jaguar wont keep any service history, the only service history will be with the car, if the none, then there none

You can get the VIN number and type it in on jaguar TOPIX and it will give you the original spec and what country it was supplied to

what engine does it have

cheers

The 4.2. I didn't want the R - been there, done that, with AMG E55ks, with more power to boot.

Thanks for the info.

Joe, none of that vehicle-specific information is offered. I've registered on Topix as an owner; do I have to take out a paid subscription now?
