Hello

Having bought a genuine Here USB map, the SAt Nav update is stuck at 'Updating map data... 50%'  cant seem to find a solution at Here or Jaguar, any help would be much appreciated please.

Did mine a couple of weeks ago in 1/2 hour stages with my engine running. I found that each 5% takes about 7 or 8 mins to complete. I also had a couple of hiccups while installing. Firstly an error message came up saying it couldn't continue the install and to re-insert disc even though like you I was installing via a usb stick. I turned off the engine removed and re-inserted the USB stick, started up again and it carried on from where it had stopped. The second problem was another message saying I was trying to install an older version, which I obviously wasn't. This time there was a cancel button to press and it again carried on installing. You would think with all the tech installed in these cars there would be an easier way to do this upgrade. If you haven't already done so I would pull out the USB stick, re-insert it, wait for about 10 mins and see if it continues. Hope this helps.

Hello Tonyone

Thanks for your prompt reply.  I had the same warning messages and tried what you suggested, however it has been stuck at 50% for a couple of weeks now.  Also the bluetooth wont connect anymore, odd. Thanks again.

Hello again Liam

Didn't realise you'd been trying for so long to do the update.

Two things come to mind if you have bluetooth issues as well. Have you disconnected the battery for 10 minutes to do a "reboot" and are you sure the battery is fully charged, this can cause all manner of problems with the onboard systems.

Hi Tony

Tried disconnecting the battery, and after reconnecting, the bluetooth has started working (Horaaah!) so that's good, still getting the 'Updaing map data..' though.  Couldn't disconnect for long as alarm was going off!  Might have to disconnect somewhere where it wont disturb neighbors.  Was trying to remove the Sat Nav fuse, its not in the slot where the handbook says.  Frustrated.
