I have recently had my front bumper repaired and resprayed (2006 black s type xs ) ...the garage had done a brilliant job but it put the front end to shame with all the white stone chips especially on the bonnet which resembled the sky at night.

Then enquiring about a respay, the guy suggested I should try a trick of the trade and use black shoe polish paste. Having just finished and with additional coats of Poorboys + Carnauba wax the result is amazing.....hundreds of tiny white chips have disappeared.....worth a try chaps

Good Morning Peter

My next door neighbour when I was applying the polish asked the same question ....maybe you could try google and search for blue shoe polish/creams, there seems to be lots of choice including various coloured leather polishes.

I know iv'e suggested this for black cars but not sure it will work on other colours - your decision Peter ! it might be worth a try for a few ££

Hi

There's plenty of colors on eBay

Also I've used Turtle wax color magic, works well as its colored and if you have chips, it comes with a chip stick,

the polish it self cover most chips, as in it matches the color, for deep ones use the stick

the chip stick is a wax colored lip stick type thing, rub it over the chip and it colors it and fills the chip, makes it hardly noticeable

turtle wax color magic come in most colors as well

it works amazing on black, has to be the first stage in polishing, hides most swirls as well

cheers

Joe

I'm just about to rifle through my handbags for that Lunar Grey lipstick and the Seafrost eye-liner.  Although we haven't got any chips on either car, who knows.

My partner says he will do the same. Has he got something to tell me?!

As always, happy growling (because you're worth it)

:shy:
