Hi all,

The remote CD player accepts the cassette and loads but on the console it says no CD inserted any ideas anyone?

It might be that the audio system hasn't been made aware of the CDC Paul. You'll need a diagnostic session.

Alternatively, the CDCs are not very tolerant of copied CDs.

If you look through the gap on the right of the cassette, you should be able to confirm that the CD is loading properly.

Has it worked previously?

Hi Paul,

The unit has never worked, it was in the car when I bought it but it didn't have a cassette with it. I bought two off E Bay which are genuine Jaguar parts and I've tried both of these, also I was trying original CD's and not copies so I don't think that's the problem. You can see the CD's load as you described so I'm at a loss so far.

Regards Paul.

I suspect it needs connecting to the car's system using diagnostics then Paul.

Maybe somebody local to you has the kit to do so.

Or, alternatively, if you're in the Penkridge / Wolverhampton area, Denis or I can do it for you.

Or, a dealer or indie will charge the thick end of £100 to do it.
