Well, wanted one for ages, so bit the bullet and bought one. Liquid silver 2.7 and though there's 100k on it, it's tight as a drum. So far so good, but I'll be keeping an eye on things to see how it goes.  Are there any meets in the north east at all?

Hi Steve, and welcome to the Club from a fellow North Easterner.

Sadly, I am not aware of any meets up in this neck of the woods: I am always on the lookout!

Enjoy both your XF and the Club!

Thanks David. Just wondered if you knew any good remappers up here as I fancy upping the bhp. Some say you can get 235bhp whereas others quote 267. Any ideas mate?

Hi Steve.....welcome to the Club

You are more than welcome to set up some meets in your local area if you wish. Just let us know and we can assist in arranging this for you.

Good to have you onboard

Well one to the club, Steve.

The 2.7 engine is a great engine and will last a long time, if you  look after it.

Treat it to premium diesel - I use shell v power, and you will get a good mpg.

The engine has a cam belt which should be changed at 105k or 10 years whichever s reached first, so I would check with the previous owner if it has met those requirements.

Regards,

Peter.

Yeah the cambelt was a concern. Going to ask the previous owner about it. Loads of history but nothing cambelt wise.
